On a chilly morning 30 volunteers turned up at the Victoria Rooms for Milverton's Village Clean Up for the Queen.
Working in pairs they accumulated a trailer load of rubbish in a very short time including two bicycles, various tyres and a car seat. On their return the volunteers were given coffee and cake to thank them for their efforts.
The event was organised by Parish Council Vice
Chairman Jenny Hoyle who said "Once again this has been a fantastic
response from the people of Milverton. Enormous thanks must go the the
volunteers for their time and effort, the cake bakers who gave us
something to work towards and Taunton Deane for supplying the tools and
taking away the rubbish."Working in pairs they accumulated a trailer load of rubbish in a very short time including two bicycles, various tyres and a car seat. On their return the volunteers were given coffee and cake to thank them for their efforts.
