Highlights

Elections
Geoffrey Godbert was elected Chairman for 2010/11
Michael King Was elected Vice Chairman for 2010/11

Planning
Grave concern was expressed about the decision to give planning permission to build a Garden Centre on the northern outskirts of Wellington.
In particular Councillors criticised the failure of the Planning Committee to follow its own Standing Orders and the poor standard of advice received from Somerset County Highways.

Affordable Housing
It was reported that the Butts Way development had received conditional approval but there were one or two legal issues to be resolved.

Councillors reaffirmed their desire to have more Affordable Homes in the village. Lesley Webb of TDBC will give a short presentation to the Annual Parish Meeting on Monday 17th May.

Village Clean Up
Following enthusiastic support from the Police and TDBC the Parish Council will go ahead and organise a village clean up over the summer. It is hoped to agree a date at the Annual Parish Meeting.
